'Red Carpet' interviews with Higher stars

OK, so the carpet in Brynaman Rugby Club is more multi-coloured than red. And most of the interviews took place in the corridor, where there isn't any carpet. But that doesn't matter, because you guys know how to inject a bit of Hollywood-style glamour, whatever there is on the floor!

One wicked group photo

Sorry Peter - the group photo with you in is too dark. I did work out the best setting to use in the lighting conditions. Unfortunately, it was after the this photo was taken. D'oh!

Busbi videos next.

WOW!!!

Well I think Peri said it all!

Well done to EVERYONE involved - this was such a great project to be part of, I'm kind of sorry it's coming to an end :( BUT, I'm kind of glad too as the video is FANTASTIC!!! Lots of good comments on the night and all you guys looked great!!!

I hope you all enjoyed as much as I have :)

Huge return thank you to Peri, who we all know is an absolute star and commits her all to every project, including this one! Thank you to Llew who has been fab throughout, especially in the launch helping organise the live entertainment! Thank you to Carmarthenshire Connect - Ran and Chris - you guys have been fantastic from start to finish, capturing every step of the journey.

Tinopolis, in particular, Owain, Owen and Huw - thank you for your support and wisdom, it was a great experience and we very much appreciate it!

A massive thank you to all the young people involved - you guys, as always, have been a pleasure to work with! Your passion and creativity always amazes me, you guys did a great job - I hope your happy with the end product! Tom, the song is amazing and your talent is going to take you far!

Not to forget a huge thank you for Carmarthenshire Community Safety Partnership, Local Young People's Partnership and Amman Youth Forum who awared us money to run the project; and Claire Mansel Lewis - Dyfed High Sheriff - for giving out the awards on the evening.

Well done and thank you again to everyone involved - I guess I better get on and see when we can get you all a copy now :)

Waking up on a high!

MORNING MESSERS and Everyone!!!!

O........M.........Gosh

I am still excited this morning as I woke up remembering all the exciting and glitzy happenings of Brynaman's most fabulous awards ceremony last night at the Higher Music Video Awards.

Everybody looked AMAZING and so happy and enjoying every moment of the evening, I'm sure I'm not alone in having such a fantastic time!!!

The High Sheriff was wonderful and made everyone remember how important this project is for all the young people involved - and remember, we really need to make sure that other young people can benefit from the video now and get it out into schools and youth clubs to spread the message you so cleverly presented in your beautifully and sensitively imagined movie.

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE PHOTOS AND BUZBEES FROM LAST NIGHT!!! We also have a whole evening's worth of film footage of the event which perhaps our newly found and trained editors (you chat show editors) might like to have a go at putting into a reduced documentary film...?

All volunteering of editing gratefully received!!!!

Finally I would like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to everyone who helped with the project along the way and especially to all the 100 people who turned up last night. Thanks to Sarah Powell, Welsh Woman of the Year, who drove up the Glanaman Youth Club members in the mini bus to see the film, Cllr Helen Wyn, our Community Safety Officer Andrew, all the parents and family members for their support, members and staff of the Upper Amman Valley Communities First Partnership, Lynsey Harries, Funding Officer of Brynaman Community Centre for all her help and excellent filming skills, Adele Dumas, Manager of Brynaman Community Centre for her constant support of Mess Up The Mess and all our work and of course EVERY single young person who celebrated at the club last night alng with those who unfortunately were unable to make it.

My last and most certainly not my least big thanks go out to Llew for all his hard work throughout the project and especially for setting up and organising the musical performers last night, and of course the wonderful Juliana for her never ending support of young people in our Upper Amman Valley. Juliana is a shining light who gives 200% to everything she is ever involved in - which can be quite exhausting, I'm sure! Juls, without you this project would never have happened - On behalf of all at Mess Up The Mess THANK YOU!!!

Right, I'd better crack on with writing some more funding applications and even more importantly preparing for our next big awards night in less than TWO WEEKS TIME!!!!! Wow, what a rollercoaster.

And what a massive post! ;)
